“As we stepped into Dundream, a little stressed and jaded from life, we were instantly drawn to the large glass doors at the back of the house, providing a picture perfect framework of the sweeping coastal scenery.  We caught our breath and breathed in the surroundings.  Almost immediately we felt our daily routines left far behind”.

“Nothing can prepare you for the spectacular sea views that greet you upon arriving at your destination of Dundream house.  After a reasonable 2 hour drive and good satellite navigation, through country roads, we arrived at the purple-heathered house, just in time before the dramatic evening sunset. As we stepped into Dundream, a little stressed and jaded from life, we were instantly drawn to the large glass doors at the back of the house, providing a picture perfect framework of the sweeping coastal scenery.  We caught our breath and breathed in the surroundings.  Almost immediately we felt our daily routines left far behind.  Every attention to detail has been poured into Dundream to ensure that wherever you are within the house, you become wrapped in the landscape that surrounds you.In the kitchen you have views of the lush green fields, take a step into the downstairs bedroom and you capture the heather hills beyond and from the master bedroom you can breathe in the sea salt breezes and take your pick of one of the many panoramic views to Ireland, Arran, Bute or Ailsa Craig. As we start to explore the house we come across many more finishing touches that complement the design of the house.A welcome basket with local produce awaits you in the well equipped kitchen – that is a pleasure to cook and entertain in and has a good selection of cookbooks that come in handy.  In every bathroom you’ll find an aromatic selection of bath salts and aromatherapy products created by a local supplier, which tempt you to soothe your aches away in one of the large, deep bath tubs.  The house is stocked with plenty of good reads and a telescope for wildlife watching, helping to slow the pace of life that little bit more.  But while Dundream can chill you out it can equally act as great place for a party with friends or family. The sociable kitchen dining and living space creates a lively hub for conversation and debate.  The sonos system can provide the ambient soundtrack to your relaxation or the perfect tones to get everyone dancing.  Relaxation is a given.

The idea of Dundream is simple but the results are far reaching into nurturing the soul. My kids favourite experience, flying kites in the large garden for hours with carefree parents – real quality family time.  My favourite experience of all – sitting under the clear, dark night sky, free from light pollution, watching lighthouses flash, stars twinkle and studying the detail of the moon – whilst my kids demonstrated their knowledge and understanding is far greater than we ever realised”.

If you are seeking inspiration and/or tranquillity in a perfect setting then your search ends at Dundream.  Geoff and Fiona Ellis

“First of all I just wanted to say an enormous thank you from Sian and I. In Dundream you have created the most wonderful sanctuary to rest, relax and enjoy such a beautiful part of the world.

We have enjoyed every minute of being here. Sian has fallen in love with the house and we will be back that’s for sure.

I cannot imagine the all the hard work, research, passion, determination it takes to create such a wonderful place.  But your attention to detail and love for what you do is seen in everything from a cup and saucer to the orientation of the house. We have both had a well earned rest”.   Ian and Sian Sutton
